Bonjour, MUN Explorateurs!

I'm Ashima Jha from India, and it’s an absolute honor to serve as the Head Chair of the WHO committee at Oxford International MUN. Academically, I specialize in Biomedical Sciences (Medical Research), and over the years, I’ve been actively involved in Model United Nations and Diplomatic Simulations—something that has shaped my passion for diplomacy and leadership. Having spent more than a decade in these forums, I’ve had the privilege of assuming leadership roles both globally and within my academic community.

Currently, I serve as the Youth Ambassador of The Diplomatic Club, a Member of the Diplomatic Academic Council at Best Diplomats, and the Sustainability Ambassador at SPSC. I’m also honored to be the Global Peace Ambassador for the Global Peace Foundation in Dubai. My journey has been shaped by my commitment to youth empowerment, gender equality, climate change, and public health, and I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition like the Women Transforming Nation Award and the Global Youth Icon Award, among others.

Beyond all that, I love expressing myself through Indian Classical Dance (Bharatanatyam), sketching, and the arts. I truly believe that continuous learning and a little creativity go a long way in shaping who we are and what we can achieve.
